Do the new Dashes bubble as well.
Nissan is offering to replace the dash on a 2006 Patrol at a "reduced" price of R4600, I'm not sure what the normal price is but would like to know if the new dashes are better and lasts. It does distract from the car and value and if ts only lasts another 3 years I would rather go for plan B (escape cover, leather ) or similar than have machies introduce more rattles.
So do you think it's worthwhile replacing?
thx

Sjoe, John
2 things. My 2007 dash was replaced a few months ago. Now what I didn't get answers on were the following:
1. Was it a manufacturing fault? i.e. meaning that they would replace under all conditions and not neccessarily under waranty conditions,
2. What the cause was and would there be recurrance??? = no answer
I would also like answers here. I will contact Nissan and try and find out.

Re: Do the new Dashes bubble as well.

My nuwe dash is in!!!

Re: Do the new Dashes bubble as well.
Got my new dash fitted at DTM Nissan in the Strand yesterday after small bubbles started to appear about a month ago. Like Sias mentioned the new dash is not as shiny as the old one and looks really great!
Even though my Trol was out of warrantee they just had to check if the bubbles were related to the problem and not from abuse and if the VIN is part of the recall. It took about a week to get the parts and they replaced the whole top part as well as the part above the glove box.
If you have a 2005/6 Patrol with bubbles take it to your nearest dealer and tell them to look at their e-news for the dash recall. This is only for a limited period so do it as quickly as possible.

Re: Do the new Dashes bubble as well.
my "old" Patrols [Lobo & Agarop] does not have this problem so I cannot "report"
BUT i do believe this is worth a news article [Beeld; Burger etc] (1) to reach ALL [or most of] Patrol owners affected adn sort of say "thanx & well done" to Nissan
John? Sias? anyone? just a thought....
