Wenslikheid / noodsaaklikheid van 'n bosbreker?

Hoe wenslik /noodsaaklik / slim is 'n bullbar/ bosbreker op 'n Patrol? Werk so-iets of is dit net 'n mooilyk-yuppie-ding?

Dit sal sekerlik ook help as 'n lastige kar my vrou probeer afdruk.

Watter vorm is voldoende?

Summit 4x4 /bzt maak n mooi bullbar. Dink hulle is so omtrent 12k.

A bullbar will help a little with a donkey (if they haven't already been stolen, killed, skinned and their skins exported to the China) or a Kudu, but only to get it to flip up and over onto the bonnet, windscreen and roof as it takes out their legs. Where it does help is ensuring a taxi doesn't cut in front of you.... and also minimizing the damage taken from a front impact ( within reason ). It certainly does enhance the look of a Patrol, and allows for various spot lights ( and a bit better protection of them) and allows for the installation of a winch.

Cheapest - but not the best looking would be Nudge-M

Vat dit as n cheap bumper bash insurance.

For me the steel bumper has a perpose.
1. I found one that increases my approach angle quite a bit. It actually makes a huge difference in this are
2. When I do a trail and I see the turn is to sharp and my nose is going to touch a branch or small tree I do not back up and take another line.....I simply push through it
3. I also have those bars sitting over the headlamps. This helps me to see exactly where the corner of my bumper is and also exactly how close I am to anything in front of me. This helped me to finish 38th overall out of 180 entrants in the Jamboree challange last year
4. It looks cool
