Patrol Pick-up load box
It is interesting to note that in SA you guys get the Patrol Pick-up with a load box (bak). Here in Aus it only comes as a cab/chassis or with a tray. Do you get a canopy for the Patrol Pick-up over there? Out of interest, how much will a load box (secondhand) and canopy be if it is available? I can see a good opportunity if it was available as an aftermarket accessory here.

Re: Patrol Pick-up load box
Funny?
I always thought that having a load box is like a national sport in Australia?
Nissan cannot be that stupid not to have it for the pickup over there?

What's also interesing is that you get a coil-cab, while we only get a leaf-sprung pickup here...

Re: Patrol Pick-up load box
Hoe verskil die nuwe patrol pick up se bak van die van die safari pick up?
Ek kon nou die dag n patrol loadbox kry vir R3500, basies splinternuut. Wonder of hulle interchangeable is?

Re: Patrol Pick-up load box
New from Nissan they are very very expensive.
Best is to get all the ones from Eskom/Telkom as soon as they get taken off. They very cheap and all new.
As for Nissan SA, i wish we had the tray-back here, i'm keen to get rid of my Tub and swap for a tray. Also, if Nissan SA had brought the Coil Cab bakkie they would have sold very well, and by far been the most versatile and capable bakkie on the market. A coil Cab Patrol would crap all over its competition.

Re: Patrol Pick-up load box
I reckon a coil-cab double-cab could possibly be the best base vehicle for overlanding ever conceived, but that's probably just me...

Re: Patrol Pick-up load box
As to the 2nd part of your question Jan: I'm not sure whether there are any 'Off-the-shelf' canopies available, maybe the gents with pick-ups can confirm?
Russ built his own My aluminium canopy build and I guess most of the local custom builders would also be able to.
