3rd row seats in GL - Eish

Post by AndriesS »

I'm going away a bit and have some guests joining. We will be five plus a 12 week old baby and I decided a 3rd row would make the admin easier if mom could use the back seat/(2nd row). So I got myself a set of seats including safety belts, latches, plastic bits etc etc and even the fan unit and ducts. Although I wasn't planing on fitting the whole aircon, having some fan will make the life back there easier - Mommy doesn't like air con that much in any case.

So after removing all the panels I found the following:
The left side has all the holes for the seat belt anchors.
The right side lacks one hole for the belt bottom anchor.

BUT the GL does not have the seat bolt plates on either side. This is an extra plate spot welded to the wheel well, the right side is slightly longer and has the extra hole for the seat belt .

Now I need to decide if I'm continuing with the project and make my own bracket or not. .........
