Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Today I had some time and decided to check the front wheel bearings for play. I found the left frnt wheel hub had some dust and mud intrusion and decided to take the hub apart to check the damage.

While teking everything apart I found that it had a ridge ontop of the brakepads. It looks like the disks were replaced with the wrong size disks. Should this be normal on a face lifted 4.8?

hmmmm... that really doesn't look right to me for sure.

Check with Marinus for Terrain Tamer pads. I got front and rear pads form him cheaper than I can get from Bracken Motor Spares where I normally get all my spares from ( and i get a pretty damn good price from them).

Please have a look. The disc should have a 316mm (315.7 to be exact) diameter.

Die disc op myne is 305mm. Nogal met die Nissan embleem op. Lyk of 'n dealer die verkeerde parte supply het. Sou hierdie grootte op 'n 4.5 pas

That is the small brake disc... the 4.8 has bigger discs & calipers.

Thats why you cant run 15" rims on a 4.8, so yes those discs are wrong.

A few very early 4.8s had the small brakes, but it would never have been so on a facelift model.

Yes, this is the size for the 4.5 GU, 4.2 diesel GU, and 3.0 diesel GU
