Difflock fixed.

Hi Almal,

Wil net n interresante "breakbown" deel met julle almal.
My 2010, 4.8GRX se difflock het al baie lankal probleme gegee. Die Patrol het nou eers 73 000km op, ek het hom gekoop met net so oor die 20 000km op.

Tipiese simptome was dat die diiflock nie wil inskop nie met die liggie wat geflikker as ek hard werk offroad en dan weer aan gebly het, sodra ek weer reguit ry. oorspronklik het ek gedink die solenoid is nie lekker nie, dit reg gemaak maar die probleem het gebly. Ek het toe die skakelaar op die actuator vervang maar nie gehelp nie. Ek kon ook hoor as die difflock inskop maar sodra ek baie krag op die wiele sit het hy uit gespring en kon ek hoor hoe hy raas (klak klak klak geluid), probeer om in te skop.

Die naweek het ek die diff reg gemaak (Dankie David vir parte). Alles nou weer 100%. Baie interresant is die feit dat my Patrol baie vroeg in sy lewe deur Nissan herstel was - Al wat die boekie se is "Difflock repairs". Dit was gedoen deur die vorige eienaar. Die hoof oorsaak was die difflock vurk, dit was verkeerd om geinstalleer met die vorige herstelwerk. Die gevolg was dat die vurk nie die difflock meganisme ver genoeg in gestoot het nie, omtrent 2.5mm te min, met die gevolg dat sodra die diff baie hard werk hy uitspring en spring op sy ratte.

Ek heg fotos aan van die skade op die difflock self asook n foto (dankie Google!) oor hoe om die vurk moet wees.
