Met Micheal and his family on Sunday, nice people, got sorted with the parts and installed today, seems his sorted now.
Cheers Tiny
Dont know how I missed this thread, but just saw it now

Thanks again for your help Tiny

Then just to give some info on my gearbox, I had a good time in the river this weekend and could test my vehicle over many different obstacles and conditions. That rattling sound is mostly heard when idling and in 1st and 2dd gear when driving under 1200rmp I would say.
I’m not worried at all about it and I think you should also not worry about it. I think you should just change the oil like the manual says and you will be sorted

Tiny Howarth wrote: 07 Jul 2015 19:54 Bought this van last September with a slight gearbox noise when idling, depressed clutch no noise, Mayfair gearbox took for drive prior to purchase and said clutch spring, gearbox fine. Not so sure now if clutch spring, changed gear oil and found a small piece of metal stuck to drain plug, noise has not decreased or increased since purchase, should i be worried?
All inputs are welcome.
Now I noticed the opposite on my vehicle, when depressing clutch I sometimes can hear a rattling sound. (when vehicle is moving, not present when standing still idling).

Thrust bearing? What else can it be?
