Jules, it would probably be the radiator cap that has gone faulty. Replace it and it should solve the problem.

Thanks Clem, I spoke to Brett also yesterday but cannot remember what he said , maybe had to many beers already, I have two radiator caps on my system ( modification had to be done a few years ago as the original connection to overflow tank broke off ) I now have the normal radiator cap and a radiator cap from where the connecting pipe runs to the overflow tank, which of these two radiator caps must be of higher bar ??

Nee swaer, nou weet ek nie. What usually happens is that the radiator cap goes faulty and so when the system cools down the water can't flow back from the header tank into the radiator and so the pipes collapse. I've never seen as system with two radiator caps. Probeer maar die twee omskakel en sien wat gebeur dan (?).
