Howzit gents...
My aircon belt has started to slip/scream on compressor start-up
I know it must be time to change it, but time is not on my side at the moment.
Can I let it be for a little while till I can get to the job or am I asking for troubles??

Re: aircon belt slipping
I presume you have tensioned it already?
Normally, a fan belt breaking on something like the air con wouldn't cause an issue, but a while ago one of my belts broke and took all three the other belts with it, and I know a couple of other guys on the forum have had similar experiences.
My two cents, if you know the belt is going and can't replace it right now, rather cut it off.

Perhaps just adjust the tensioner in the meantime

Re: aircon belt slipping
Mine been doing it for two years now. Does not "scream" every time you switch the aircon on, but every now and then....

Re: aircon belt slipping
Not the end of the world right now.
For your sanity sake, rub a candle on the belt surface that contacts the pulley.
That will help keep it quiet until you can get to it.
