on the fire wall above tappet cover where your heater pipes run you'll see a blanked off pipe...take it off and heater on hot start the engine till all the air comes out..
you might have to stick something in there cause it cloughs up..ones the water is running out there put the pipe back and refill radiator
hopes it helps ...
Yes. But please make sure your heater is on so that the "heating matrix" thing is also bled. Otherwise there could still be air in the cooling system. :oldtimer: :oldtimer:

Tiny, The hose numbers would be great if you can do that for me please..... but don't wake the wife up..... happy wife.... happy life....hahahaha

Thanks Michael, I'll do the vin no check and compare with Tiny's numbers to be sure.

Well I gave the cooling system a good looking at with a torch and with the motor running and at normal operating temp. Guess what I found.... a tiny leak still on the top radiator hose where it connects to the radiator. So it looks like the hose is basically finished and in need of replacement.

Thanks Tiny.... its perfect.

I took a drive through to Nissan quickly to hive myself a quick little heart attack, and raise the blood pressure ..... :surprised: :surprised: :surprised:

R 1950.00..... are they off their friggin dumbass minds.... oh, that is without a 10% discount.... whoopie friggiin doo !!

While I was there I was looking at a price for a rubber boot that sits on the gearbox that stops dust entering the gearbox where the 4x4 lever and gear lever fit into the gearbos.... guess what.... for this piece of rubber ...... R 4500... for a rubber !!! ( and no I didn't make a mistake with the zeros !!!)

Marnino4x4 ( Terain Tamer ) has a GQ TD42 radiator hose set for me at a VERY reasonable price, but I don't know if it will fit the GU TD42..... anyone with any knowledge on this please assist??

I got my Patrol's replacement Radiator from them .. 082 990 3367 his name is BILLY
MAYBE Marinus can provide pictures of the GQ hoses they have .. then you can compare ?
[I still smart from the R2400 I had to pay at Nissan for the bottom hoses on Boezman ... ]
