I can tell you that the TB42 with all ancilliaries is about 225kg. This includes flywheel, clutch, A/C pump, power steering pump and alternator, both manifolds and carburettor.

It has an alloy head, so will probably be a bit lighter than the TD42, but i wouldn't have expeceted nearly double.

For interest, i once did a conversion on a 1969 Lotus Europa. From an all-alloy Renault 16TS engine to a Toyota 4A twin-cam engine. The toyota engine had a steel block and an extra cam, yet it was 1kg lighter than the Renault.

No man......

Its not the red pants...

Its the engine !

If you zoom in very closely you can pick up that there might be an issue with the radiator-fitment potentially resulting in cooling issues. :eureka:

Never mind the cooling system: power steering and air con go where? And I take it ample provision has been made for twin turbo application? :oldtimer: :rolling:

Ponies... My word that thing kicks out tyrannosaurus rex's.....hahahahaha

Peter, that TD42 head alone is a monster. For one man to pick that up is no easy task, add the diesel pump and turbo into the equation, one can burst a foofie valve... :surprised: :surprised:

Ground clearance is significantly lower than acceptable, but some OME coils and he is good to go
