Termic problems RD28T

Post by stobi_de »

Hello!
After a long time I'm back here. Got a new home, new job (ok, no job, now I'm self employed with creating websites) and a new way of understanding the life.

But let us talk about the terrible RD28 engine in that Patrol.
Is there somebody left in ZA, who is driving that waste of engine? I found someone in Estonia, who knows the reason for the cracks in the head.
I would send a description, how to build a preacausion. Not very simple, but only because of the few space to work. The reason is very simple to understand and I ask myself, why Nissan did it the wrong way. The solution would have not cost more in production.

My english ok?

Frank

PS. Back in your country in 3 month

Frank, i don't think that engine was ever officially sold here in the Patrol.

I think the few that are here were unofficial imports like yours.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Ha, my english was not to understand.
What I wanted to say:
I know the reason and I know a workarround.
I would send a description of that workarround, if somebody is interested in that.

I think Reenen has a few RD28's built into a few vehicles he owns.
Seems to be the local go-to-guy for those engines.
a.k.a. Datsun Dustin
