Oom Mac
You could probably look into a water-to-air intercooler setup to run in that AXT system on your new rig.
I'm guessing there's a bit less fiddling with moving big stuff out of the way to fit a front mount intercooler.
If I remember correctly, years back I looked at a 4.2Td that Mayhem (Dennis) was selling. It also had an AXT system on it, but it had a water-to-air intercooler fitted inline on the intake pipe.

Re: Turbo charging a TD42 engine
On a slight side note...
What's the difference between a Blacktop and Silvertop motor that everyone seems so eager about ?
I know the Silvertop was an import, but what makes it better than a Blacktop ?

Re: Turbo charging a TD42 engine
We never got the silver top engine here officcially. The one we have is a mixture of the silver top and the black top.
Just paint the tappet cover silver and you are sorted
