Wel manne die verskil in die olie wat ek gebruik is plain weens die td42 se masjien nuut herbou is so 40000km terug en basies in my opinie nog inloop die ander rede waarom ek die 10w40 hx7 shell olie gebruik is omdat dit om aanbeveeling was van frans op die turbo mod td42. Nou my vraag aan julle manne wat is die verwagte lewe op ñ turbo, dit wat ek al gehoor het word daar van 80000-120000km is en daarna is dit geleende tyd?

My ander vraag ook as mens op die sintetiese olies geloop het vir so lank kan mens wel terug mineraal multigraad?

Die rede hoekom ek Delo sal aanbeveel is omdat daai olie spesifiek gemaak is vir n diesel engine wat werk soos die TD42. Delo is n heavy duty fleet olie wat spesifiek is vir n diesel engine wat hoe sulpher diesel kan gebruik, en spesifiek engines wat voor 2007 gebou is
Moenie worry oor die dat jy nou en semi syntetiese olie gebruik en dat dit n probleem gaan wees as jy nou oor gaan na mineraal toe nie, dis nie n probleem nie.
Op die turbo moet jy ook nie worry nie, daar is nie so iets soos n turbo wat net so lank hou nie. Dit hang alles af van hoe gereeld jy diens, watse olie jy gebruik en of jy jou engine af skakel wanneer die turbo koud genoeg is. n Turbo kan lag lag 500,000km plus doen sonder probleme.
My een vriend werk by Iveco en een van die kliente het n vloot Iveco Daily's waarvan daar omtrent 11 van hulle is wat almal al meer as 1miljoen km gedoen het sonder om een part op die engine te ruil. Natuurlik was timing belde gedoen en op meeste van hulle is die ratkaste en difs al geruil maar nie een engine, turbo of injector failure nie.
So kort vidio wat hulle gemaak het oor dit

Die rede hoekom ek vra of dit ok sal wees om oor te gaan delo 400 toe is bloot omdat ek iewers gehoor het dat mens nie kan terug na mineraal as jy op sinteties was nie, en dat die seels dan kan begin lek weet julle van so iets?

I think that's a scare tactic and old wives tale. The seals are there to seal in an oil based substance, be it synthetic or mineral, it is still a lubricating oil designed for exactly the same purpose in an engine. I don't think its like dot 2/3 or 4 brake fluid that apparently has an effect on the seals, as that is a totally different liquid made purely for compression purposes and made to not hold water particles.

yesterday I checked my Patrols oil level and saw it needs a bit. I took out the service invoice from nissan as I wanted to top up with the same oil not to mix oils. They also use the HX7 10W40. What bothers me more than the synthetics is the fact that this oil can be used for bogh petrol and diesel.
Anyways, how much oil use is exceptable between 15000km services?

The manufacturers usually state that 1 pint/1,000km is still ok if i am not mistaken.
I must also sy that I am a fan of HX7, it is a very good oil in my opinion and I have used it on all the Navaras that I have rebuilt. Im not quite sure how they produce a oil which suite both diesel and petrol, but this is the case at VW as well. Their oil for say a Golf 6 GTI and a 2.0TDI is the same thing, as long as it meets their standard of 505-01 its suitable for both diesel and petrol.
