Het al die td42's nie oil squirters? Die td27 is basies net n td42 met 2 silinders minder.
En hulle het almal oul squirters. Selfs die 1990 td25 het squirters.

Wat oordoen betref. Die td engins is seker die maklikste engins op mark om oor te doen.
Beina almal wat ek oopgemaak het na sump compressie, was dit net glazing.

Ek het n td25 wat n top gekraak het op 650 000 km na heater hose gebars het. Sleeves was nog binne speck, net carbon ridge. Pistons kon nog gebruik word. Crank het nog soos nuwe gelyk. As daar een engin is waaroor julle nie bang te wees om oop te maak nie, is dit n TD nissan.

Ek is nou besig om n td27 uit n terano2 oor te doen. Wel, eindlik netringe en bearings, en valves lap.
Het sump compressie gehad, was opgeglaze.

Ek gaan hom in my 84 L28 safari sit tesame met n 3.0 16 v hardbody 4x2 gearbox, en dan nog safari se transfer case.
Het die elektroniese injector pomp uitgegooi vir manual pomp.

Hy het n turbo en intercooler op. En ek toor hom so bietjie.

Dan skop hy meer kw en torque uit as td42, en vanaf laer revs. Kry reg dat hulle al van 1000rpm boost.

Reenen, I was always under the impression that all TD42's had oil squirters, but some are saying that the TD42 design was slightly changed over the years with thinner pistons and and gudgeon pins and the removal of the oil squirters. All the TD42's I've seen open ( not many ) had oil squirters and was a "black top"

Most of the parts on my motor are for a TD27, do even that motor must be good......hahaha

Theuhan, Ek stem met oom Mac. n 8 prop chev is beslis die antwoord.
Goeie krag, goedkoop om nog krag aan te bout. Jy moet krag he om groot bande te draai in modder.
Ek dink n 4.2 turbo kan werk, maar nie soos n petrol engine nie. Jy gaan hom moet hard boost, dan rev hy nog nie. Behalwe as jy hom bou soos die ausies wat 6000 rev. Hulle hou net nie lank nie.
Mens kan natuurlik net n rat hoer gebruig met n diesel, die probleem is om hom aan die gang te kry. Clutches wat meer stremming vat ens.
Ek sou se potrol, of n baie groot diesel.

Reenen pm my asb jou no ek moet met jou praat oor 2.7td, myne begin eers boost by 2 en eers teen omtrent 3 duisend revs boost hy .6 bar en het maar min krag.

Toe ek my import TD27 kry in die Sani, toe het ek die selle probleem. Die waste gate se actualtor plaat is gebuig êrens toe hulle die goed gepak het, niemand het dit agter gekom nie, maar die wastegate het net altyd oop gestaan. Ek het vir amper drie maande so gery en gedog dit is maar hoe die lewe gaan wees met diesel motor. Sou gehelp het as ek boost gauge in gehad het, maar ek kon dit nies sien nie.

Nadat ek hom reg gemaak het, was dit a nuwe perd.

Nou al ander dinge gedoen om turbo te help op my 2.7TD. 76mm BAIE freeflo exhaust (geen bokse nie), en die wastegate en diesel advance pype om geruil. Myne boost nou lekker vinnig en tot so 1.1bar op lekker koue dae, en dae wat die humiditeit hoog is. Nou moet ek nog net êrens IC in die hande kry, dan is ek gesort met myne.

Reenen kan jou ook kom vertel wat het hy alles met syne aangevang.
