Hi all
Since I bought my Lorrie I’ve been monitoring its fuel consumption it always gave me between 5.4km/l and 6.4km/l now all of sudden on the last 2 tanks between 4km/l and 4.2km/l
When I got it I immediately fitted Maxxis bighorns 265/75/16 I had 275/70/16 on before. On the last 2 tanks I had a roof rack on.
Is there something wrong with the Lorrie or is it normal consumption with a roof rack it wasn’t loaded heavily.
Its up for its next service maybe it just needs a good service, what could maybe cause this sudden heavy fuel consumption?
What can be done if any to get better consumption (I was thinking of a good dino tuning after its service? )
Any advice would be nice.
A.J.

The roofrack will make a differance in the fuel consumption... but not that much.
And remember... If u drive a Patrol, u never calculate the fuel consumption!

Re: Is there something wrong with my Lorrie
The Maxxis tyres will increase the fuel consumption and so the roofrack. These two combined will easy increase the consumption with 0.5lt-1lt /km. I must say driving in town will be heavy but on the open road she will average to 4.5lt-5.2lt/km. I should think it sounds normal.

Op my GQ maak 'n vuil lugfilter 'n mo3rse verskil aan brandstof verbruik. Sal interessant wees om te sien watter verskil dit maak.
