(Ek vermoed "Wasabi" loop dalk bietjie ryk.)

Ek sien heel paar verwysings na Kosie Swanepoel - hy lyk my na 'n legende.
- Wat is julle ondervinding?
- En, rofweg, wat behoort so iets my te kos?

Groete
Corne

Hi Rudolph
Got a reference to contact you on this forum Tinus Lotz (Thanks a lot Tinus[) regarding Y60 Weber 38 Conversion.
See you have long since done your Patrol and that you had a spare carburetor? Still do - perhaps?
I need to know what is needed to have such a conversion done on my SGL.
Where to buy and what am I expected to pay for everything.
Truly hope you can assist.
Thank you kindly
Willemien

Hi Willemien,

So far the Weber is serving me great. In December 2010 the Weber + installation cost was ~R7500 (Weber was purchased from Carb City in Pretoria). I managed to get a guy in Boksburg where I stayed to do the job for me, he run a shop from his house "carburator specialist".

At this stage one thing I would have done differently and that was to try and incorporate the altitude compensator of the Nikki, as I went up Sanipass then the whole air/fuel mixture was bit stuffed. Back at the bottom it took a few km to get rid of excess fuel. Other than that I'm very happy with the setup.

Let me know if there is anything else specific that you need info on. I don not have the old Nikki anymore.

Regards,
Rudolph
