Torque curves

Post by Peter Connan »

Does anybody know where i can get torque curves for the various engines? Preferably un-modified engines, and ideally also going down to fairly low revs.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Ja Peter dit gaan moeilik wees om so iets te kry. Dyno dag gaan die enigste way wees.

Hi Peter,

Unfortunately my figures are not for an unmodified Patrol.

Herewith my 3.0Di (2008) pre CRDi motor's torque figures as at Jan 2018.

75mm exhaust,
300 x 600 front mount intercooler,
Madman,
SAC Chip
(at that stage with 265/70 x 17 tyres - 32's) - Tyre size makes a huge difference on torque figures.
This was after new injectors were fitted in November and a turbo recon done in April 2017.

After the above mods, these are my torque figures

RPM - BEFORE - AFTER
1500 - 192.3 - 306.3 NM
2000 - 293.2 - 362.0 NM
2500 - 277.0 - 342.7 NM
3000 - 245.8 - 300.3 NM
3500 - 235.0 - 267.7 NM
4000 - 185.3 - 205.8 NM

Pretty impressive Malcolm. Are those corrected for friction (ie estimated flywheel figures)?
