Re: Finally brought her home...
Thanks to everyone for their kind words. Its nice to receive a welcome to the forum and Patrol family like this.
Forgot to mention I also:
1. Removed the plastic tire cover as it was broken and rattling. Put a Melvill and Moon cover on.
2. Had the dash re-upholstered. The previous owner had it done, but it started to come loose again so I took it back to have it re-done under warranty.
3. Had the Warn Tabor 9000 built over onto the ARB bumper. It was quite neatly hidden behind the stock bumper.
4. Had a Y60 Patrol Roofrack engineered to fit the Y61. (Got it with the Patrol, although it was roughly 50mm's too wide, I also had to get new clamps made up as the owner did not have the original clamps anymore.)
5. Replaced all the brakes, including the "linings" (hand brake shoes).
6. Fit the OME 200-400kg coils (971 and 981 if memory serves me correctly)
7. Repaired the main tank (130L stainless), which has been moved to the far rear of the vehicle. It had a small crack which I had welded and patched.
I hope I didn't fix/upgrade everything as I quite enjoy working on the Patrol. Just kidding, I am sure I will find plenty more opportunities to do little upgrades here and there as we get to know each other.
