Project Snowy met n turbo
so I eventually got my Trol in December last year http://patrol4x4.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=7513
since then I have almost had to sell it but luckily that did not happen, what did happen is an itch that needs scratching
out it all comes
what a mission it was
the motor seems to be in good nick except for no2 not sure what could be causing that, perhaps a valve stem seal????? experts?
the problem area, good thing i decided to rebuild

Hi Andre, I can see many hours of hard work and frustration there, but in the end that itch will turn into pure pleasure.

Re: Project Snowy met n turbo
Looking at that I think valve guide or stem seal is a good candidate.
But if you are re-building the engine anyway, perhaps the cause doesn't really matter, since all the possible causes should be receiving attention anyway as part of a proper rebuild?

Re: Project Snowy met n turbo
Tinus, the correct term would be Blueprinting the engine. This process takes each component or part to a specification. The engine is already balanced.
