Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Christoph, ek kan jou waarbord dat jou engine nie n UD40 engine is nie. Ek is besig om een te bou en daar is n paar goed wat anders is op die engine soos die oil cooler, thermostat housing cover en n gat in die blok vir die turbo se olie return wat joune verseker nie het nie.

Die TD42 engines wat ons hier het is maar n mix en match so daar is n paar varieasies van hulle.

Sal dit moontlik wees om die kar by jou te los vir 'n ruk? Ons ry deur Pretoria (kry my dogter 10/4 by 'n netbal kamp). Laat weet maar of dit sal pas asb.

I have a sneaky suspicion that either your Patrol was one of the first GU (Y61) Patrols here in SA that landed up with a ( dare I say it.....) silvertop TD42 motor in, but this I think is VERY unlikely, or the original motor was changed and a (GQ) td 42 motor was fitted into that Patrol. This makes VIN number checking a waste of time unfortunately. Take a few pics of the engine bay from all sides as well as a clear photo showing the bottom radiator hose, as this is way different between the GU ( Y61 ) and the GQ (Y60 ) and post them here so we can have a look. We should be able to see the subtle differences to confirm this.

Jip, Im sure its a GQ engine in there but will have to look at it.
