Re: The Rebuild 1991 Nissan Patrol
More Andre,
Good looking GQ. No nonsense vehicle that just keeps going. I was the original owner of Drik''s Patrol, and it was in the family for almost 20 years. I did a host of mods , but with regard to the gull wings we opted for steel , so that the hinges could be welded to the inside of the door. I wanted a clean look. We used the rear (3rd row) seat belts mounts and the rear grab handle to mount the hinges. Finding the hinges was a challenge as they need to push out before opening.
Good work and please keep us updated. (grantfrancis1@gmail.com)

Re: The Rebuild 1991 Nissan Patrol
Hi Grant and Friends
Thanks for the reply, hinges is definitely a challenge, would have love to see how you did that.
Diesel Electric has a alternator, but it is 24V...krisis. Any-way, took it to my normal autolek, and he repaired it for R880. Better than getting a new one. Took him less than 3Hours.
I fitted the new second hand grill and new indicator lights, man this Old Madam is looking like a proper beast, and I am really enjoying driving her. Now to finish that rear towbar so i can hook up the Xcape and go camping!!!
Will post pic of the new refreshed look!!
Regards

The Final Hooraa!!!
This is the final chapter in my Patrol build, as I have sold her and she has gone to her new home. I have finished her rear bumper, front bumper, almost complete respray again.....yes I am a bit of a paint fanatic.......herewith the pictures, Oh, they might be a TAD on the big side, so please excuse the data usage.
That is me on the left....
