Thanx for the welcome!!

PLEASE, lets not ruin this with talks of fuel consumption!! :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:

Jonathan, it does indeed come from your neck of the woods. Her previous owner upgraded to a Dodge Ram truck as a tow vehicle....

Seems like no patrol can hide from you chaps!!

Hi everyone!!

I've spent some time now with the Patrol and love it!!

Unfortunately, there are some issue's that i need to sort out. On the weekend, when towing on the N1, at the hill just after Panorama offramp, the patrol started losing power. I could barely manage 40km/h up the hill. I have read on the forum that this is typical behaviour of the fuel pump, not having enough pressure to feed the engine. Would like to replace it.....

My power steering unit is also leaking a bit of oil.

Is there any Patrol specialists in the Cape Town area that i can take her to?

Thanx
miles

Hi Miles, also being a boat owner we tend to be a little naughty...after a fishing trip and having extra fuel in Containers on the boat we de-canter into our cars.
I think you must first check fuel filter and fuel flow before replacing a fuel pump :mytwocents: :mytwocents:
