The lack of front recovery points on my pickup bother me a bit (with the possibility of going on the river trip in mind  ).

How would it be possible to fit recovery points on my vehicle, without removing the bullbar?
Can anyone advise me on this, or post a close-up pic of the standard recovery hook fitment?

While Russ waits for daylight to take pictures:

On the inside of each swivel hub, there is a circle of bolts holding the swivel hub wiper seals in place. One on each is a longer bolt with a rounded head and a jam nut. This is what you need to adjust. Unscrew a turn, hold with spanner while locking the nut, and try again.

If I remember correctly, you were looking for a roll-bar for the Patrol Pick-up. I see there is one advertised on the community forum - http://www.4x4community.co.za/classifie ... trol/cat/5

Hope it helps.

Its the Protruding nut visible in the pics. In the top view you will see the nut making contact with the axle tube, this limits the "Turning Circle" in essence, by limiting the extremes in regard to wheel axis.

Yes, I definitely still want one, I did contact the seller. Thanks for the info.
Will have to see how I can get it from Jan Kempdorp to Sabie...

Is there not perhaps someone in Sabie that can knock up a cheap cattle rails for your patrol, and then you just get a canvas slip cover with a rear zipper, for when it rains. Cheap, looks good, and is practical,.... or do you NEED a rollbar for any reason?

The Patrol Roll Bar is very heavy, and just gets in the way, ... believe me , i know, ... i've got one. The massive tubing they used, and 3 rib, is definitely strong, thats for sure,.. my entire aluminium canopy and roof rack, will all my attachments, weighs less that this rollbar.

Hier is n foto van myne, dit lyk nie of daar veel plek is vir n recovery hook nie. (Bulbar is bietjie in die pad?)
