Gents
After some planning and bargain hunting this is what my Patrol looks like now.
The Roofrack is one that I bought on Gumtree for R2000, it is a Big Country roofrack that came of a Quantum minibus. Had to have some welding done to accommodate the support closest to the front windscreen. It is BIG even for the Patrol but the wind noise is minimal and everything that I want to add to a roofrack fits easy with space to spare.
The Patrol mags with the tyres (275/70/16) was in the market for R5000, so I sold the tyres and wheels that I had on the Patrol to Heindrich on the 4x4 Community forum, so that did not cost a sent.
OME coils from Cedric (we still have to discuss the price) and a set of Monroe shocks that also came from a seller on Gumtree for R500. On the rear of the Patrol I got a avarage of 52mm lift but only about 7mm in the front.
Gray water tank opposite the Jerry cans I bought from a seller in PTA for R400, that included the Frontrunner holder.
On the wishlist is a Airteck snorkel, Oil catch can, 305/70/16 BFG Muds or Maxxis Bighorns, and a aftermarket rear bumper. R20 000 for fuel to travel through Botswana and northern Namibia would also be nice.
Have a great week.

Nice Izak
I have one question though: what does that roofrack do to your fuel consumption?

Peter
Nothing good I assume. The Roofrack will be hanging in the garage at all times except when I am going on holiday and then I assume driving slower will be the answer. I have it on now to test for wind noise, and to make sure eveything stay in place.
Regards

Re: New look on my Patrol
Izak, as Liewe Lulu said, elke sport het sy beserings.
It would have been better if the roofrack and tent did not extend past the line of the windscreen (IE iff you draw a line following the windscreen and extended it upwards), but then you would not have room for the second spare on the roof.
