I have a 2008 zd30 3.0di. It's not a CRD! I recon Nissan imported all the old junk to SA! Only when they cleared the warehouse of the di did they bring in the CRD would be my guess. Must still check by belts for manufacture date...

Hi Dale,

Sorry to hear about your troubles. You are probably correct on your stock statement. Its mainly due to the poor sales. So stock doesnt move allowing for new stock. And probably Nissan dealers also at fualt because I strongly doubt that they no the difference and when it was made. My dealers machanic told me in 2013 that these are the new engines they came out very recently.

Joshua,

Dankie vir daai tip. Vraag is, wanneer is die laaste 7 sitplek diesel in SA bemark? M.a.w. loop daar sulkes met die CRD enjin?

Joshua,

Thanks for the reply! I will hopefully be able to use this knowledge one day.

Just one question, is yours a 7 seater? The new ones I saw lately only have 5 seats in the diesel. That's my problem. I would prefer a diesel and like the 7 seat option.

Hi Christoph

I think the diesels are 5 seaters and the petrol Patrol are 7 seaters.

However that should not be too much of a problem as many of us have the extra seats taken out. And some of us might be willing to pas them on (for a small fee).

Yes, mine is 5 seats but its has everything for the 2 rear seats. So if you can get some spare seats from someone you should be fine. Most guys dont use their back seats.
I am almost sure the latest diesel with the leather comes with 7 seats. But i might be mistaken.
