Re: 4.8 belts
Hi,
Are these the main belts that we need to do certain services for? Graham told me that if I intend to keep the Patrol for a long time I should start looking at getting some spares like the belts etc?
Where can they be bought and where would we get the best prices? For the 4.8 do you also have to buy the air filter from Nissan on can you replace it with a different one? Maybe K&N lifetime filter?
Still getting into all of this technical vehicle stuff.
PS: Does the 4.8 GRX have a CAM BELT or a CAM CHAIN?
Thanks/Dankie

Re: 4.8 belts
If you intend using your Patrol only on the road and maybe to launch a boat once in a while, you can use the K&N, but if you drive dirt roads, rather stay away. Best yet, install a snorkel.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Re: 4.8 belts
Go snorkel and the OE filter , i had several K&N ones and even had made a custom enclosure with a snorkel - was crappy off road IMO , keep your existing filter setup and put a qaulity snorkel on there , just beware of most of the cheap imported snorkels they are cheap for a reason ill so safari one day when im big
