Why patrol4x4.co.za?

Why patrol4x4.co.za?

I've been involved in the 4x4 community for approximately 10 years where I started navigating for friends and finally ended up buying my own. :) During this time I have been involved with various online forums and when I bought my Patrol in 2007 :D , I immediately joined the Nissan forum (http://www.nissan4x4.co.za/). Because of the limited Patrol members, however, I soon became a bit frustrated but, then I discovered a wealth of information on the Aus Patrol site, http://www.patrol4x4.com , and gained valuable advice from this forum.

So, back to the question. Unfortunately, most of the supplier referrals on the http://www.patrol4x4.com site are local Aus, which doesn’t help us much AND I also discovered quite a few other South African based Patrol members on the forum. I have also been a member of the local Land Cruiser forum (http://www.landcruiserclub.co.za) and whilst not driving a Cruiser, have found the comradery quite something.

Right, so is there scope for a South(ern) African, Patrol forum? There are after all so few of us, AND even less that actually really do offroad?

Answer: I think so, but I think it’ll really be up to the founding members. Let’s give it a go! :D

Thank you
Regards
John Murray
