New member building 1998 Ute V8

Post by Jerard » 10 Jul 2018 13:05

:imnewhere: Hello Almal. Ek was daar met so wit Fj cruiser. So nou is ekke weer terug by die begin.

Welcome..... This is an insane amount of work but will be ridiculously capable when finished.

For anyone else thinking of doing the same or similar it would probably be a lot easier to start with a GQ SUV with coils all round.

Please give detail of what you do to the rear suspension as I would love to change the rear of the "Firetruck" to coils.

Welkom

So voorspoed van my kant af.

David, the chassis of the QU pickup is very different from the GQ pickup chassis, so I doubt what he does or doesn't do will be of any real use to you.

From limited crawling underneath, I think the GU car and pickup chassis are pretty nearly the same, so if you can find a rolled chassis (Tommy's perhaps), you can probably use the car's brackets...
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.
