Re: Patrol Rims and Tires

Hi FKCololfs, I hope you do not take offence at this but you may want to have a think about your prices, I sold 5 spotless patrol GL rims with almost new tyres with the nuts and the centre caps for R6000, I have also just sold and outback expedition roof rack for R3500. Just trying to help you get them sold

Re: Locking Nuts Question

Hi Alex
Is this locking nuts for the rims you are talking about? If so the ones with a key for the spare work ok, but I would think that on the active wheels this would not be a good plan as they would fill up with mud/dust ect. Land Rovers come out with one lock nut on each wheel (different size and shape to the others and you get a adaptor to get them off) first thing I do when I get my Landies is to remove them and chuck them in the bin! I have been stuck twice in the middle of nowhere where I cant change the tyre because I cant find the adaptor. In 25 years of offroading and overland travel I have yet to have a wheel stolen so I do not see the need!

Re: Deep Cycle Battery Safety

I have never heard of any problems, I have been running around Africa for 25 year with main batteries and aux batteries under the passenger seat in my landies and more recently behind the rear seats in the patrol and have never experienced any fumes ect. Cheers Ian

Door seals

Hi All I am busy rebuilding a luggage trailer and was looking for new seals. I have found a place in Florida (west rand not USA) called Fabric Link. They sell two types, the door type rubber seal (R47 per m) and the flat type (think it was a little cheaper) They also have a few types of edgings (ones without the rubber seal) bit to go round the edges of a trailer mud flaps (R27 per M) If anyone needs

Re: My MY12 4.8 GRX - Done my way

Nick looking at all the mods you have done on this it is not a show car but built for off road use! Where are your hi-lift jack and recovery points on the bumpers?

Re: River Trip 6-10 August 2015 AKA Die Groot Trek

Just wanted to wish everyone going the very best! May the diesels make it there on time! May the Petrols not run out of fuel :surprised: , but most importantly may everyone have a fantastic time. I will think of you while I sit by the braai, punishing myself with many spook and diesels while I watch the Boks kick butt (we hope) may even send some scores through to Tinus and Cedric. Have a fantastic time guys and drive safe
