Re: 3.0 CRD Boost/ Boost Readings & Altitude

What possible reason could Nissan have to void the warranty on the fitment of an EGT gauge? That's just screwed up. I would definately take it higher up the "chain of command". As for the pulling left: it is well known that lifting a panhard-rod live-axle vehicle will result in a directional pull. I...

Re: Patrol 4.2, possibly 4.5 wanted

As I've never owner an auto I don't know what is considered normal. What should I expect to fix and service on the auto box and will it last as well as the manual box? Paul, maintenance is basically an oil change every once in a while. Same as a manual, except that you won't ever need to replace th...

Re: Patrol 4.2, possibly 4.5 wanted

Hello Paul This 4.5 auto is available: http://patrol4x4.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=7482 and is currently standing at Graham's shop, why don't you go take it for a drive and answer your questions for yourself? Personally, I am not a fan of automatics. They feel slow and ponderous, because effectively...

Re: Heater / climate control

In the Patrol, the heater matrix is always on, and the air reaching the interior is controlled by a series of solenoid-activated flaps/valves.

Sounds to me like one of these is misbehaving.

Re: Interior Trimmers Western Cape

Headliner and Carpet.... dont know.... might be more difficult as these are molded parts. I would first try some intense cleaning. (I cleaned mine for 2 days !.... and it helpd a lot) If this does not achieve your required result you might consider getting the headliner or carpets from a donor car....

Re: Steering shudder on braking

I doubt caster on it's own can cause a shudder, and suspect the problem is more likely related to tire wear or balance?

I would try rotating and seeing if that makes any difference.
