Re: Sliding window

Thanks Jules and Oom Mac Jules I have considered it but the kids like sitting in the back there when we go on a trail. Oom Mac I have had flat laminated glass cut to size before, and I am battling to understand why flat glass can be cut but not curved glass, since laminated glass can in any event no...

Peter

Sliding window

Hello All Does anybody know where I can find somebody who is really jacked with automotive glass? The fixed pane of the left hand side sliding window of my car is broken and was replaced with a piece of perspex, but this is not ideal because it rattles annoyingly. Unfortunately the correct piece of ...

Hi Charles

What gearbox are you using? Is it Auto or Manual and does it belong to the engine or the car?

Thanks

Re: Engine replacements - Patrol

JG I want to go even further: Reliability is not only due to the engine. I know that I am relatively inexperienced in terms of both overlanding and off-roading, but on all the trips I have been on some of the vehicles have had problems that needed to be repaired in order to carry on (fortunately I h...

Re: Bash Plates

Hello Guys
The galvanizing was supposed to be finished yesterday, but when my Dad arrived to pick them up only half the job had been done.

They have promised that the rest will be done today, so I should be able to supply the local guys this weekend.

Cheers

Re: Viscous Fan

Maniak the best way to clean a radiator is to take off the tanks. It is then easy to see if any passages are blocked. The blocked passages are cleaned by pushing a steel rod through. Thereafter it is acid cleaned and then the radiator is re-assembled. As JG says this is a job for Silverton or somebo...

Re: Engine replacements - Patrol

Hi Guys Having done a number of conversions myself, these are my thoughts: I have never done or been involved with a conversion where the car ended up being more reliable than it had been. Once in a while it has been close though. However as a general rule, the more extreme the changes, the more roo...
