Re: EGT TEMPS ON 4.8 PETROL PATROL

Yeah this is a bit tricky. As David points out, the whole point of the exercise is to protect the engine, and this is done by keeping the temperatures of the cylinder head and piston crown below the temperature where they go through a change in cristaline structure. The materials in petrol and diese...

Re: New Member from Howick KZN

Check with Tinus about load bins also, I seem to remember him saying he might know where to get 1 or 2 but I might be mistaken. Tinus replied to my FB post on patrol group I'm still waiting to hear from him... I'm sure he's a busy man and will contact me when he gets s chance Just phone him. He is ...

Re: Should I be concerned? 2” OME=90mm !!!

I doubt you need to be particularly worried. The rear end doesn't get caster correction, it only gets extended sway bar brackets, which you say are already fitted, and an extension bracket for the brake bias valve. The sway bar extention brackets only really come in one size, and should not be longe...

Re: The Bigger The Better Trailing arms

Dankie Tijmen.

Re: New Member from Howick KZN

Welcome Mark.

Marinus can help you with a steering damper and front shocks (Terrain Tamer), or Tinus could help you with Bilsteins.

Dawid Volschenk may be able to help with most of the other stuff?

Re: The Bigger The Better Trailing arms

Daar is...

Re: New member Cape Town

Just to add to what Cedric has said, note that the 4.2 diesel, both the GQ and GU wagons, were locally sold only in normally aspirated form. These are slow as donkey but one of the toughest and most reliable engines on the planet. Any one you find with a turbo will be either a grey import or a modif...
