Re: Front Brake Hose Lines

Most hydraulic places will be able to make them from a sample. I suggest you check there length at full suspension droop (i.e. are they stretched or not) and use the opportunity to make them longer if required.

Re: Lockable spare wheel nuts

Or buy a long bolt and nut, and screw in place from the back of the wheel bracket , use the extra nut to lock the bolt against the bracket and then buy a set of locknuts.

Sub Tank Light and fuel tank cap not tight

Posting this as a note, sometime ago my sub tank light came on, I got the manual out to check how to read the codes but in the same time frame I also noticed a fuel smell after driving. Luckily the first place I checked was the filler cap (Sub tank) and it was loose- most likely not tightened by the...

Re: Need advice please

Most Midas and Autozone have kits fro various cars, let them start by bringing a you Skyine 2.8 set, they are fairly long- check the distribute side connection and length against yours, else they should have loose ones and you can make up a set from that . Bougi Cord is the most common brand.

Re: Wanted: 17 inch Front Wheel Centre Cap

If the look / attach the same as the front then why not use a whole sole to remove the center part from one of the rear ones?

Re: Tow Bar Problem

Just a note, with a lifted suspension you will find that a normal trailer will be very low in the back, so check speedbumps. I've added a drop plate to mine without issues

Re: Tow Bar Problem

I'm sure of you don't tow 3 ton boat or trailer through the bush then a simple, adapter/drop plate bolting on where your pinlte hook is and then have holes where you can bolt a normal trailer hitch /hook will work. I've towed a small trailer and a car on trailer on various times using it without iss...

Re: Wanted: 5x 16" 8jj patrol mags to buy or swop for 17"

Just my 5 cents, check if the 16inch alloys will fit on the 2005+ 4.8 (I don't know if the 2005+ diesel have the bigger brakes as well) My gut feeling tells me the 16inch alloys might foul your front calipers. Don't assume that if the steel 16 inch fits then an alloy will as well, Alloys need more m...

Re: LS2, 1UZ or TD42T engine conversion

It my opinion, any conversion to a non standard engine will have issues. I'll rather up the power on the diesel with a hairdryer. You always hear great stories of people fitting 1UZ but they are very quiet when they sell it 6 months down the line and very seldom give the truth why. After fitting, re...

Re: Brake seals leaking

If it is that seal it should be fairly easy, pop off the reservoir, pop seal out and put new one in. That is if they are available. It should be part of the master cylinder kit.

You should not need to bleed your brakes either
