Re: Overheating on a long uphill

Wow thanks for all the info, guys. The radiator was flushed about 20 000km's ago, and yes all filters have just been replaced - with regard to the overboosting, I did have a problem about 2 years ago which you guys pointed out and that was remedied by Rob Green and sorted. EGT gauge is next on my li...

Overheating on a long uphill

This past long weekend I took a drive to a game farm in the Waterberg, after doing a 160 000 km service on the 30 TDI. Just after Wambaths we turned on the aircon, and after 15 min or so noticed that it was not getting cold and shortly thereafter, on a long uphill I realised that the temp. gauge was...

Re: Patrol 2012 3.0 GL KM/H @ 2000 rpm

My 2003 3.0 GRX does 120km/h at just under 3000RPM with 265 75 16 tyres. Consumption, however is closer to 12L/100km, and i've just had the chip reset and dyna tuned at SAC. Ok, the roofrack does'nt help the consumption figure!!

New drawer, dual battery & compressor.

Ok I eventually bit the bullet and have just completed a series of upgrades, all done at Big Country 4x4. I originally had two storage boxes made up by a cabinet maker in wood so as to have place for my goodies - however the space utilisation was never great, ... and then I bought a fridge which bro...

Re: PATROL RIDE QUALITY

Oh sorry I forgot to mention that I am riding on Ironman suspension with softer springs and gas shocks as opposed to foam cell's. Any comments on performance difference between Ironman and TJM / OME - are they better or only more expensive???

Re: PATROL RIDE QUALITY

While we're on about tyres & tyre pressures, is there a "correct / standard" pressure we should be using?? My Patrol has the sticker in the front door still with recommended front at 2.0 bar and rear at 2.6 bar which I have been pumping my tyres to since I bought it - with standard 265...

Re: 2008 Nissan Patrol 3.0 Diesel M/T

Mine is also a 2003 model, bought with 118000km and now up to 165000km. I have no EGT gauge, but drive like a granny! My concern is for the previous drivers, I know that the services were all done on time but that's all - I have no other knowledge or info as to how the vehicle was treated so.... am...
