Re: Vehicle Safe

Ian,

The jack does not rub on the plastic tank, It is strapped tight with one of the two straps that also hold the tank in place.

Re: Vehicle Safe

I managed to fit mine under the rear seats. :eureka: When I fitted my ammo box slide and fridge/freezer slide (90lt NL) rack system to the Patrol, it left enough space between the rack system and the rear seats for a 60lt Pioneer Plastics water water tank. Below the water tank I then had enough spac...

Re: Bonnet for my 2008 Partol

I have a scoop on iNyathi 's bonnet. BUT no inter cooler [maybe must buy up Malcolm's old inter cooler ???] Back to the scoop on iNyathi's bonnet -- Up to 140 KMH it makes as little as NO difference on the under bonnet temperature or pressure. At one time I blocked it off and closely monitored the ...

RTT with "slip on" awning

I have the 160 Star Gazer RTT on my trailer and a 140 Howling Moon (actually designed for the Jurgens trailer) on my Patrol I fitted both to open backwards, so I have sun and rain protection over the rear door of my Patrol and trailer. I did this for my safari into Botswana and Zimbabwe in January w...

Re: What is the best colour for a 4WD vehicle, and why?

Any metallic colour, it just looks so much classier on any vehicle than what a flat colour does on the same vehicle. After retiring from FNB, I helped a buddy out at his Panel Beating shop for 9 months and there I saw what he always told me. It is easier to colour match a metallic colour on a vehicl...

Re: Bonnet for my 2008 Partol

Hugejp, I thought of that, but it will fill up with rubbish and will be difficult to clean. I have blocked them, with neat aluminium covers on the inside on the vertical plane. This however makes it very visible that it has been blocked and looks really silly Maybe do as Tinus suggest will be the be...

Bonnet for my 2008 Partol

I've had a bigger front mount intercooler fitted to my 2008 3.0 TDi Patrol, so I no longer need the scoop on the bonnet (it is now blocked to stop excess underbonnet air). This blocked bonnet scoop now make my Patrol look a bit like a 1965 Cortina 1300 would - with a rear wing!! I now want a plain b...

Re: Front Axle Lockers

I have bought two Lokkas, one fitted on my 2011 2.5 Tdi Pathfinder and one NOT YET FITTED for my 2008 3.0 TDi Patrol. I decided on the front lockers on these vehicles after experiencing my 1999 Terrano (now sold) that came standard with a LSD in the rear and I fitted a LSD in the front as well. It w...
