Re: Repairing Patrol clock spring

Paul, so does everything else work now? I had the same issue with my Pathfinder, so for US$23 I ordered clock spring from overseas on Ebay, only to discover that the RHD one differs from the LHD one that arrived here. Mine is clearly marked with a big R, the one from Ebay, had a big L on it, so I co...

Re: Coming over from the dark side...

The Pre 2004 3.0di Nissan Engine was known as the "hand grenade" engine. They blew up (holes in pistons) due to problems with the ECU (probably over-fueling). The problem was solved in 2004 sometime and the 2005 models onward are considered "safe". I would rather look for a later model 3.0Di or even...

I would suggest Mag Wheel Services, 106 12th Ave, corner Park Drive in Fordsburg. They are open Saturday mornings. It should not take more than a week, at most,to get ...

Re: SHOW YOUR FLEX!

Not a Patrol (but still a Nissan) and not exactly flex, but..... 4x4 People generally do not like LSDiffs, but this Terrano had one front and rear, and by operating the foot brake to induce locking the LSD's up, it was nearly as good a locked diffs on dirt and the rear one was a dream on tar, could ...

Re: GU Bonnet Guard

I made a set of the wind deflectors for both my Sani and my Terrano. I bought a strip of 1.2mm thick, about 120mm wide stainless steel. I then measured the length of the rear pillar and cut a piece from the strip to the correct length. Next I would cut the bottoms and tops to the same angle of the r...
