Re: Transfer Case Skidplate

Hello Stefan That is probably the way my rear bumper will work (keeping the standard spare on the door and adding an extra in such a way that the bracket can be removed when not required). If you are prepared to replace the existing front towhook with a 10mm plate with 4 holes in (three for mounting...

Re: Trailor for sale

Menere Laasjaar, op die hoogte van die reensysoen, het ek en my pelle Pierre en Tinus so 'n bietjie met ons Patrols by Hennops gaan speel. Dit was regtig nat en modderrig. Daar is 'n plek daar by 'n watergat waar daar so 'n kort maar relatiewe steil bultjie is, skaars een en 'n half meter hoog. Ons ...

Re: Transfer Case Skidplate

Hello Stefan Do you have a towbar on your car? If you do, you could drill a couple of big holes in the mounting plates at the sides, under the car. However, I doubt this is necessary, as the normal recovery hook bolts straight into the rear chassis crossmember, and there are also triangulating membe...

Re: Project TD42T Conversion

Hello Pieter

This Madman EMS you have, how much did it cost and can it be programmed to give a warning (either a light or an alarm) if set values are exceeded? I know a guy who had a Stack system in his race car that could do that, then you don't have to watch gauges all the time.

Thanks
Peter

Re: Transfer Case Skidplate

Hello Gentlemen

I have just received the plates from the laser cutters, I will assemble within the next week or so and let you know, but the plates should be ready for collection by next weekend.

Re: Transfer Case Skidplate

Hello David The actual runners will be 76x38mm hot-rolled channel iron, flared at the ends to look better and with 40mm square tube welded to the ends to act as high-lift jack points. It's the mounting points I still have to figure out. I am also going to try to design them to fit both Y60 and Y61's...

Re: Transfer Case Skidplate

Hello Izak Give me a little while. I am busy with a swing-out awning and a new type of spare wheel carrier for Oom Mac, then I want to do some decent rocksliders, and then I will tackle this. By the way the laser cutters are nearly finished, then I just need to collect from them and weld together. R...

Re: TB42 Cold starting problems

Hello Louis I also have a 1996 4.2. Mine is Australian, so I have the very same parts issues with Nissan. On the Y60's you can usually tell from the VIN number where it came from. The first letter normally represents the country of manufacture. I fitted a carb kit myself, sourced from Carburettor Ci...
