Re: Bainage (Again)

Gerrit I meant to ask, what pressures do you run in those 33inchers when you go playing? There is quite a lot of sidewall flex visible in some of the photos  great for traction!

Re: Bainage (Again)

Jis boys julle laat dit darrem lekker lyk

I definately play too seldom. I have always said there is no reason to be driving a big 4x4 on the road all the time, but when you get a chance to play they definately make up for it :salute:

Thanks guys, nice pics.

Re: Funny noise from diff? axles? driveshaft?

Manne dit smaak my ons moet net onthou ons ry Patrols. As hulle nie gereeld ordentlik off-road ry nie, breek hulle, anders as Landrovers wat breek as jy hulle die dag veld toe vat?? :rolling:

What tires do you run Jules? Could it be uneven tire wear issues?

Re: Transfer Case Skidplate

Hello Gentlemen I have finally gotten all the ducks to line up, and placed the order for the skidplates. Final cost will be R500.00 each, welded together and ready for fitting, but unpainted, and they should be ready latest 30/10/10. The following guys are the unfortunate recipients: David Jones Iza...

Re: Funny noise from diff? axles? driveshaft?

Hello Jules Silly question: Is the noise still there if you brake lightly? Brakes can make all sorts of funny noises. Please note that the following is surmise and not the voice of experience: If the noise is there and the same whether the hubs are locked or unlocked, then it should not be anything ...

Re: GQ Coil Springs

Hi JG The rear springs (both Nissan and OME) are rising-rate coils, pretty fancy stuff. Which is why I am glad Adriaan managed to find some springs without having to resort to the local spring works who probably do not have the necessary equipment to do that. If you are interested, you can tell whet...

Re: GQ Coil Springs

Hello JG Not sure that it is a problem one wants to solve? On most of the cars I have looked at, while the front is lower than the rear, it is still considerably higher than standard. In use the weight on the rear springs change considerably while the weight on the front changes much less, so in my ...
