Re: Patrol rear off road bumper options

I rebuilt the the BZT one with double swingarms to take the 33" mud spare wheel, 60 l fuel, 4 sandtracks, spade, power points, reverse camera etc, sorted the quality issues and changed the lights. Made "that Bots trip" with no issues. Looks impressive. If I haven't made a plan by then we should talk.

Re: Patrol rear off road bumper options

The BZT looks good, but it is also expensive, but probably not as much as the others. Their web site indicates R14 500 (I'm not sure if it is fitted for that price), and that is without the spare wheel carrier. Ideally I also want to move the spare wheel off the rear door. It does look very good so ...

Patrol rear off road bumper options

At this years Rust de Winter Jamboree my Patrol had a disagreement with a boulder during the decent. There were a few in fact. 20181031 IMG_20180430_154206.jpg The other side is a little bit better but not by much. I toyed with the idea of fixing the bumper and a member of the forum even donated a s...

Re: Air bag replacement

Thanks Cedric, a good idea. Will give it a couple of days and repost. That doesn't make sense. He should be able to find the ECU or pick it up regardless of a chip on the car. The chip would be a piggy back chip feeding bogus signals to the ECU so it doesn't error while managing the engine, but fro...

Re: Airbag light reset prosedure

Michael, The error code says its the clock spring and it affects the airbag on the steering wheel. From what I have read is that it actually is the ribbon cable on the clock spring that goes faulty. The ribbon cable only can be bought on eBay for about US$5.00. But to be honest it is such a shit jo...

Re: Alternator and battery box

I'm very happy with my WRND. I don't think it has any relays so no clicking noises. I've not seen any issues with it staying on while the Patrol is running. I also have it on my battery box in the back.

Codes have been reset and it seems it may indeed be related to the key.
