I had to remove the second battery solenoid as well. It seems that at some stage a short damaged the unit and some of the wires.

one of the first problems I picked up with the vehicle was that the was some play on the suspension bushes. The next step on my patrol rebuild was to make a spacer in order to fit the spare wheel on the back. With the 285/75 16 tires the standard mound does not work.
