Video by my Customer on their KTFP trip with SIMBA 4x4 TOURS AND SAFARIS

This is a video by my customer from Finland on their 2 week KTFP trip with SIMBA 4x4 TOURS AND SAFARIS. We saw an incredible amount of animals despite the drought and suffocating heat of 44 degrees plus!! https://youtu.be/tJ2kg4DHANs For those on Facebook, there are more pictures on the SIMBA 4x4 TO...

Uprated Alternator

In the late 1990 early 2000s I owned a Sani 3lt V6. It was kitted out for camping and overlanding but I found the alternator was a bit "light" for charging the fridge's deep cycle battery on days that did not involve long distances or many ours driving. The Sani only had a 65 or 70 amp alternator. A...

Firestone rear Air Spring Helpers

I had a set of these fitted the week before I left for my Kalahari Safari and It raised my heavily loaded vehicle beyond my expectations. With the bags pumped only to 1.5 bar (max permissible is 2.5 bar) the vehicle stood slightly higher than when unladen. Ride quality and handing was unaffected, bu...

Re: Warning - Older Vehicles - Check Your Water Pipes

Hi Ian, The 90 degree steel pipe on your picture at the bottom of page 1 refers: I had a similar issue but with a 90 degree rubber pipe on my Terrano. Nissan could not supply and had to order it from Japan with something like a 6 week lead time. I would have not had the use of the vehicle in that 6 ...

Re: Left barn door extension

Jorrie, ons moet nog eendag by mekaar uitkom sodat ek myne kan kry en jou betaal. Daai deur het my die afgelope 2 weke mal gemaak met my safari deur die Kalahari.

Re: Front Axle Lockers

I had a 1999 2.7 TDi Terrano before and Mike Swann from Nizani brought in a LSD for the front diff for me in about 2006. It cost me R7500 at the time. It was for a R200 diff but the Terrano had a R200a diff (or visa versa, I can't recall exactly anymore which way around). Only this particular model ...

Re: Trailer wanted

It is like saying you rather want to get a Tata Indica because you hear the Audi A4 can sometimes get a flat tyre if driven on dirt roads and because the A4's services cost more.... :rolling:

Venter is just about the bottom of the pile! You can't go much lower.
