Re: Which engine is for me?
Yes, and I doubt this will be helpful either, as we are all too opinionated. However, just on a point of anality: herre in SA, tbe 4.2 turbo diesel wagon was never sold officially. Any 4.2 TDI you find here is either a gray import or a modification. So here's mine: The 4.5 petrol engine is an incred...

Re: Engine Guard - Engine Overheating Alarm
Sorry Wayne, i did not mean to imply that the system will not work on a diesel, nor that it would not beenefit. But to my mind, the biggest killer of TDI engines is EGT's. And therefore, if you are serious about the health of your TDI, you need a system that also monitors that. And since there are s...

Re: Engine Guard - Engine Overheating Alarm
Welcome to the forum Wayne I have two questions for you: 1) What is the accuracy and measuring range of the temperature sender you use? 2) How does the oil pressure measurement on EGO1/3 work? Does it use a separate sender unit or does it plumb into the car's factory-installed oil pressure sender, a...

Re: New member from McArthur
Sorry, I should have thought you had considered the obvious.
Assuming the car does shorten up enough, there is of course also the option of having some custom bar work done here?

Can't you win those 7" back by un-bolting the winch, the bar and the rear bumper and chucking them in the bin, and then re-bolting them when you get here?
