Thanks guys They only tightened the bearings. I did 700km yesterday, and 100km on horribly corrugated dirt all in H2 with the hubs unlocked, was too scared to go into H4 in case I broke something. Great post, My troll had a service and wheel bearings were tightened up, on the way home it started making a horrible noise, from the left front wheel I think its the hub, which looked very clean when i took it apart. I cleaned it anyway but it kept on grinding intermittently. I then swapped the hub...

I got mine replaced the other day, at R300 each. A friend with a 100 series cruiser rocked up at my place to show me his invoice as I got home - gas struts were R1650 each! It was an independent dealer who obviously saw a place to make a tidy mark up..
