Re: CRD Fuel consumption

Good day gents. This is very interesting to me. I always thought that the Crd Di would have slightly better feul consumption than the Di and then the improved reliability of coarse. In fact i have been waiting for the right Crd to come along so i can change to a Crd but this makes me seriously rethi...

Re: Best Oil - TB42 High Milaege

Would Delo 400 be reccommended for a TB42? I see Delo 400 is a API-CJ rated oil. TB42 manual says: API SE, SF or SG is reccommended. Been using Helix HX5 all along which is API SN rated. Somehow I devoloped an itch to feed my TB42 some delo 400, but now I'm wonderingh if it was a mistake.... :think...

Re: Mystery Nissan Safari Pickup

Great, so its a gq pickup then. I second what Peter said, would also like to see it. It is a pity the engine parts were left in the elements. Maybe there are still something to salvage. If i remember correctly Michael bought a gq pickup to fix / build a shop truck , but its quite a while ago. I can'...

Nissan Safari Pickup
I thought it would be that one, then it should have the Ld28 in if its still original.
If it it has a td42 swapped in its great.

Keep us posted.

Re: ABS off on steep terrain?

I agree with Rudolf the diff lock will overide the abs, thats when the abs light comes on together with flashing difflock light and the diff lock doesnt turn on if not in 4wd and also not above 7 km/h, its a safety feature of it. When in 4wd and below 7km/h the difflock will engage and then there is...

Re: Mystery Nissan Safari Pickup

Good day Chris. Welcome, you will surely find your answers here on the forum. I suspect the one you are discribing might then be the Mk/MQ Safari pick up. The rear diffs on these was offset to the right so both diff centres were off centre. However not to the pasenger side like you mentioned except ...

Re: ABS off on steep terrain?

Good evening Dion. It doesn't sound right, the Abs is supposed to prevent the sliding as it should keep the weels turning. If you say the Abs kicks in, do you feel the brake pedal starting to pulsate / vibrate under your foot? If you remove the Abs fuse you will cuase it to slide as the wheels will ...
