Whose vehicle was this? Advert says Supersharged at cost R200,000?

That would be Faan's supercharged 4.8.

Re: Brake pedal feel different on first brake application

Start bleeding at the furtherest point from the reservoir and work your way to the closest. That is the correct order. Much easier way to remember the bleeding order! I checked the manual, and it is as I outlined in my earlier post. 1: Load sensing valve (LSV). 2: Back left. 3: Back right. 4: Front...

Re: Brake pedal feel different on first brake application

Just remember to bleed them in the correct order. Will need to check the manual on this, so I will confirm later. But I seem to recall the order is: 1: load sensor switch (above back diff). 2: left back. 3: right back. 4: left front. 5: right front. As I said, that is the order I remember, but my me...

Re: Diesel Pump Solenoid TD42

Right - I've tracked down the relevant stuff on PartSouq - for the correct engine this time around. Well, I hope so. I'm assuming this is a Y61 ? The Y60's and Safaris seem to differ a little... In any case, there are two different part numbers for this - depending presumably on whether NATS is inst...

Re: Diesel Pump Solenoid TD42

Nope....diesels don't have carburetors..... Not too sure where else one can get one of those. I would give Marinus a shout ( Terrain Tamer ), He may be able to source one for you. I would however thing that it will be pretty much a generic part, as it isn't exactly a computer controlled part. I wou...

Re: Diesel Pump Solenoid TD42

I'm not too familiar with the diesels, so not entirely sure where this is, but checked the manual. So I assume you mean the solenoid that sits on the carburator body (part number 1619603J10). I've highlighted it in the attached image. solenoid.png If so, you can order from PartSouq (http://www.parts...

Re: Patrol - daily drive

I have two. Both are daily drives. The 4.8 is the wife's run around for the kids. She needs 4x4 for work, as she is regularly on the canal roads around here. The Hardbody was previously her run-around, but with the daughter's extra murals, she needed a seven seater. Another Patrol was a no-brainer. ...
