I have a aftermarket system on a 4.8 GL manual and it works well, I'm not 100% sure but if my memory serves me the 4.8 Auto is fly by wire throttle and thus don't think it is that easy to get it from a scrapyard and install.

I'm sure I have a 2 inch lift and with new tires - 285/75 r 16 I found that the tires do catch on front mudflaps when turning - cant recall if it is the inside or outside of the tire rubbing - but who needs mudflaps.
