Re: Dirk's Patrol gets even more TLC!

No no no. Getting it back Saturday morning and then it is just normal service...... touch wood. Better sound and to get rid of any rattles in the doors. Patrols don't rattle - They make appropriate noises :woo: :woo: :rolling: :rolling: My logic for better sound would have been to Dynamat the insid...

Re: Dirk's Patrol gets even more TLC!

It was known as "Grant's Patrol" and soon it will be know as "Anthony and Michael's Patrol that they lends to Dirk for trips" :rolling: :rolling:

Seriously though it is looking better and better with all the attention to deal.

What was the reason for the Dynamat and foam in the doors?

Re: 26-28 October 2018: Baboons Pass

What are the chances I can bring my 1 year old on the trip....? Very chilled kid! I did this trip last year as well. The potential for things to go very wrong very quickly is too much to risk with a 1 yr old and you are long way and time from help. And this is from a guy that fitted a car seat to h...

PLEASE tell me about that engine ? Is it an RB ??
With my limited knowledge of RB engines I have only ever seen the "ECCS" on the intake manifold of an RB20. Probably means that is an RB engine but which one who knows.

Wow that sounds awesome, at what rpm does the power come in?
Starts boosting at 1 400 rpm, full boost under 2 000 rpm and starts coming off at 3 450 rpm but will still rev to places I have not taken it yet :woo: :woo:

Re: "The Firetruck"

So I suppose it is time for an update after receiving the SOJO treatment. Michael finished in March and it has now done about 6 000 km and had one filter and oil change. Apart from a complete motor rebuild the turbo was upgraded, airbox changed and a couple of other minor things. Power - boosts to 1...

Re: New member building 1998 Ute V8

Welcome..... This is an insane amount of work but will be ridiculously capable when finished. For anyone else thinking of doing the same or similar it would probably be a lot easier to start with a GQ SUV with coils all round. Please give detail of what you do to the rear suspension as I would love ...

Re: GU Patrol Nudgebar wanted

I gave away two bumpers quite a while back. Both bumpers had nudge bars. One was wrap around, and the other one was the "bikini" type integrates into the bumper. I think they ended up with "David M" and "drean". I'm not sure if they are still around or available, but perhaps hear from them ? I know...

Re: Fully equipped roofracks for sale

How doex those gas geyser's work? You getting a little older that you need warm water now Dirk :rolling: :rolling: It's the one's that both Tinus and I have used on the River Trip etc in the past to keep SWAMBO smiling. Connect gas pipe to gas bottle, put submersible pump in water, put shower head ...
