I cannot help wonder but whether with all that complexity if it is going to be as reliable as the GU.
Given that it has spent a few years in other markets already and that Nissan locally is on a drive for market share, I think the answer is yes. Also, I think the window motors are re-designed.

Re: New Patrol

Theres been talk about them putting a v8 cummins diesel power plant in the y62. Not sure how this is progressing. But it would prob take another 5-10 years before it reach us in Sa... And I would not be surprised if Nissan SA only give us the 4.0 v6 and not the 5.6 v8.... Cummins SA do ...

Fools!!! they need to bring out a V8 Diesel motor like the 200 series Land Cruiser
Fools?

And have the same limitations as the VX with limited 50ppm availability outside SA and Nam? Whereas a petrol can go anywhere? I think they did give it some thought, to be honest.

What motors are they going to be bringing in? Is there a diesel model??
No diesel, so they opted for petrol only. Avoided limitation of 50ppm/Cruiser 200.

Just ask them WHY ???
Why ruin an amazing platform in favor of independent suspension all round ?
Better comfort, safety and lower unsprung weight.
