Re: Patrol Recovery !!
Hi! In 2013 there was mention of "Peter's recovery points." What is the best way to fit 2 recovery points up front? I thought I might just buy another hook and fit it to the left front. May be that hook is just a towing hook and not a recovery point - not strong enough to yank a Patrol out...

Re: Tire pressure check magodi
Hi! Has anybody had experience with the 6 Wheel Solar Tyre Pressure Monitoring System - Internal Sensors TPMS? It is sold by Tyre Care via Takealot and costs R2990.00. How accurate and reliable is it? Looks like the ideal TPMS for towing.

Re: stabilizer links
As far as I am concerned, stabilizer is a misleading name for this item. It is correctly called an anti-roll bar. On a double live-axle vehicle, it has almost no effect on the vehicle's stability, but does reduces body roll a lot. My car has been running without anti-roll bars for several years now...

Re: stabilizer links
Thanks, Peter, I haven't experienced more roll than before after the back stabilizer was disconnected. Maybe it's the heavier springs that still reduce roll and the fact that the front stabilizer is still connected.
Yes, I'm interested in your quick release kit. How much?

Re: stabilizer links
Hi! Would like to know the outcome of this feed. What happens if the front stabilizer is also disconnected? I had wingnuts made for the back stabilizer so I could disengage it more easily  - one fell off on a corrugated road to Mokala and I removed the other one just before it also droppe...

Re: Leaving the front hubs locked
Hi! I've never locked my front hubs since I bought the 1 month old 2006 model 4.8 GRX. I do engage 4x4 whenever I hit dirt road in order to lubricate the front dif. Is it really necessary to manually lock the front hubs to get everything lubricated properly? Could you also comment on another 2 quest...

Re: REAR BUMPER REPLACEMENT
Hi! SJC
My tow bar looks much the same. Your Hi-Lift seems to clear the spare wheel well. It does seem to need the extension. Is the jacking point welded to the tow bar or bolted onto it? Does the Takla air bag extend high enough to lift a Patrol?

Re: 3rd Row Seat Locks
Hi! Mini Patrol You mentioned a packing system that you built into the back of your Patrol. I would like to see a picture if you have one. May be, if I knew how, I could send you a picture of my packing system I built a year ago before leaving for Kaokoland. (Wys my joune dan wys ek jou myne! :redfa...

Re: REAR BUMPER REPLACEMENT
I suppose, what I already have, is a better idea than trying to jack up the Patrol by the chassis. Thanks for the reply. When you recover a stuck vehicle, what you want to achieve, is to get a wheel out of the hole so you can fill it up with rocks etc. I can't imagine wanting to replace a wheel when...
